What are vitamins and minerals?
They are micronutrients and both of them are essential for our bodies to function efficiently and healthily.
There are two types of vitamin: fat-soluble and water-soluble and they are organic substances found in plants and animals. Vitamins A, D, E and K are fat-soluble vitamins which dissolve in fat and can be stored by the body. For water-soluble vitamins which are C and B complex, they need to dissolve in water before the body can absorb them.

We absorb minerals from the food and drinks that we consume after animals and plants absorb these minerals. Minerals are inorganic substances found in soil and sources of water.
